Benefits
Total Wellness: We care for your dog’s overall well-being — far beyond just veterinary visits. Our approach includes working with groomers, trainers, and walkers to ensure your pup enjoys physical exercise, mental stimulation, and good manners, all while staying healthy and happy.
Prevention: Instead of only seeing pets when they’re sick, we help you create a proactive wellness plan that supports your dog’s long-term health, happiness, and quality of life.
Convenience: Whether it’s grooming, overnight care, or medical checkups, we make it simple. We can coordinate multiple services in one visit, offer transportation to and from our facility, and even provide telemedicine — so there’s no need for unnecessary vet trips.
Experience: Our veterinary team has an average of 11 years of hands-on expertise, each member dedicated to delivering gold-standard, compassionate care to every pet.
FAQs
Before bringing a senior dog into your home or visiting our sanctuary, please provide all necessary care information and detailed instructions in your adoption or foster application.
If you need to update any information, kindly email us at info@seniorsnouts.org.
We are not responsible for misinterpreted verbal requests, handwritten notes without details, or incomplete instructions.
Please allow reasonable notice before visits or adoptions:
1 hour for meeting healthy senior dogs already prepared for visits
4 hours for dogs requiring special medical or mobility assistance
To ensure consistent care for our dogs, we ask volunteers to commit to at least 4 volunteer shifts per month or a 12-shift quarterly commitment within the same time frame.
Shifts can include dog walks, feeding, grooming, companionship, or transport assistance.
We welcome help between 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Saturday, with schedules arranged at least one week in advance.
If you have limited availability, we can accommodate ad-hoc volunteer visits for special events or urgent needs, depending on our team’s availability.
Our adoption process is designed to ensure that every senior dog is placed in a loving, permanent home.
We require:
A completed adoption application
A home visit (virtual or in-person)
Agreement to provide lifelong veterinary care and a safe, loving environment
We do not operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Instead, we match each dog to the best possible home based on their needs. Some of our seniors remain with us for life in our sanctuary program, where they receive the love and care they deserve.
As a nonprofit, we rely on the generosity of our supporters to fund medical care, food, and daily needs for our senior dogs.
You can help by:
Making a one-time or recurring donation
Sponsoring a specific dog to help cover their ongoing care
Donating supplies such as blankets, senior dog food, and mobility aids
All donations are tax-deductible, and every contribution goes directly toward the wellbeing of our dogs.
